Richard and Laura Barefoot dreamed of opening a restaurant. Laura enjoyed cooking while growing up in Sampson County, and loves to meet new people. What better place to do both, than in their own restaurant. When Richard retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company on May 1, work began on making their dream come true.

In October of 2010, their dream became a reality. “We just wanted to create something unique to this town.” We wanted to have a restaurant with a family atmosphere and a quality meal.”

Railroad Street serves dinner Thursday thru Saturday and a great country lunch on Sunday. We have a 35 item salad bar that is always fresh. We have one of the best Prime Rib Entrées around these parts. Give us a try, we are worth the drive.
